How To Potentiate Kratom 101

Kratom is a powerful plant that can be a great addition to your daily wellness regimen. Not only does it boost your overall well-being, it helps with your motivation and focus. We’ve discovered that sometimes consumers get tired of the monotony of taking their kratom with water or tea. What if we told you that you can enhance your experience with Kratom by mixing it with several different ingredients, fruits, and spices?! You’re in luck…it’s 100% possible to enhance your Kratom experience! You can make your kratom powder more potent and make your experience last longer by potentiating your Kratom. It is perfect for individuals who are looking to increase their workouts or make the most out of their workdays.

If you are a Kratom newbie, you can simply start with our go-to Green Maeng Da Kratom powder and work your way up to our different strains. We recommend not exceeding more than two servings per 24 hours. For our experienced Kratom users, let’s dive into kicking your standard Kratom regimen up a notch with six exciting potentiating ideas!

According to dictionary.com, to potentiate something means to increase effectiveness, to intensify, or to make something powerful. In the Kratom realm, a potentiator is an ingredient or method that can make a substance even more potent. When you potentiate your Kratom, you’ll use less powder and you’ll be able to enjoy the benefits for a longer time throughout your day or evening.

What is a Kratom Potentiator?

If you are tired of the same ol daily Kratom routine, try adding a potentiator for a more potent experience. It can truly be a game-changer! Also, in addition to a more potent Kratom experience, we’ve learned that many ingredients offer potential health benefits. From our Green Maeng Da to our Red Bali Kratom, it doesn’t matter what strain you choose to potentiate. Let’s take your Kratom experience to new heights!

1. Grapefruit Juice

Grapefruit juice is our very first choice because it goes great with your breakfast, and it is one of the most powerful potentiators for Kratom. It is also the most popular potentiator!

Grapefruits

Grapefruit contains antioxidants which boost the immune system. The enzymes in grapefruit enhance the alkaloids in Kratom, all while providing ample amounts of Vitamin C and potassium that will supplement your daily nutritional needs. The enzymes in grapefruit also promote digestion, and in some instances, can help individuals have a more efficient metabolism.

Another benefit to potentiating Kratom with grapefruit is that the sweetness of the juice helps mask the very bitter taste of the Kratom. You can mix your Kratom in 8 oz of juice, or you can use the toss n wash method and chase your Kratom powder with your grapefruit juice.

2. Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV)

More and more people are adding apple cider vinegar into their health and wellness routine. Research has shown that ACV can have many advantages in and on the body such as, improving the skin, weight loss, blood sugar, and boosting cardiovascular health. When potentiating your Kratom with ACV, you can use the toss n wash method. Instead of using water as a chaser, you’ll wash your kratom down with the apple cider vinegar. We recommend that you try to get accustomed to the tang of ACV before you try this method. The taste of ACV in large amounts can be startling in the beginning.

If you are looking for a more subtle combination of ACV and Kratom, try adding a tablespoon of ACV to your Kratom tea. You can also mix about 1-2 tablespoons of ACV in 8 oz of water and Kratom. If the taste is still too harsh, try adding 1 teaspoon of honey, cinnamon, or cayenne pepper.

3. Cayenne Pepper

You are probably thinking “why in the world would I add cayenne pepper to my kratom?!” If you made it this far, don’t leave now….stick with us!

Cayenne Pepper

Cayenne pepper is known to help promote saliva production and aids with digestion and boosts your cardiovascular health. FYI: You’ll want to start small when potentiating your Kratom with cayenne pepper because of how strong it is. You also might need to get your taste buds accustomed to the heat.

To make your Kratom potent with cayenne pepper, mix 1 teaspoon of the cayenne pepper in with 1 teaspoon of Kratom powder. You will then combine this mixture in 8 oz of water and stir until it is fully mixed together.

4. Turmeric

With anti-inflammatory properties, turmeric is an excellent choice for your daily health routine. The active property in turmeric, curcumin, is a powerful antioxidant. When potentiating with turmeric, you’ll simply mix 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder and Kratom together. Then you will add it to your hot tea, your favorite fruit juice of choice, or even a delicious milkshake!

5. Chamomile Tea

A majority of Kratom enthusiasts already brew Kratom tea, but by adding Kratom to chamomile tea is a game changer. Chamomile is known for its calming and sedative effects. Combining your chamomile tea with our red bali kratom powder has been said to promote peace and tranquility. Our famous saying is “Red before bed” – take that notion a step further and have a cup of chamomile Kratom tea before you head to bed to achieve ultimate relaxation.

Chamomile Tea

For further Kratom potentiation, consider adding some lemon or lime juice to your tea. For an added sweetness, add a bit of honey or agave syrup. Be sure to not use too much as the sugars in these can make you feel more awake.

6. Caffeine

If you are a coffee drinker, consider adding Kratom to it. We have learned that the caffeine in coffee combines very well with Kratom. We recommend using our Green Maeng Da Kratom or White Borneo Kratom strains when combining with coffee. Since coffee and Kratom come from the same plant family, they are known to complement each other quite well.

Caffeine

If you are generally sluggish in the morning and looking to promote focus and motivation, mix in your serving of Kratom in your coffee until fully combined. We recommend that you avoid using sugar for sweetener. Instead, consider using natural sweeteners such as agave or Stevia. It has been said that the combination of Kratom, coffee, and sugar can be too much for a lot of people. Also, if you typically use a sweet creamer or an almond milk with a high sugar content, consider using a small amount or skip it altogether.

Final Thoughts

All in all, it doesn’t matter if you are new to Kratom or looking for a new way to experience this extraordinary plant, we highly recommend potentiating your Kratom. Use the ingredients we mentioned above or research your own ingredients, and find what works best for you. Kratom isn’t a one-size-fits all type of plant, and we encourage you to do research and discover new ways to use Kratom to further your overall quality of life.
